visual wave...

twenty, maybe thirty kilometers away...

the problematic with perspective tends to reside in the 2d projection of a 3d image that lies beyond our reference points of proximity. we see things far away, can only guess the actual dimensions of what we see based on the 2d drawing that our minds read mixed with our previous experiences, or by using simple pythagorean triangulation that necessitates moving to another point where the perspective is different and whose relative location is known.

the problematic with perspective is that it requires the power of abstraction to make two images of the same thing as seen from two different points a coherent 3d representation of what is being seen.

the problematic with perspective is that it resides in a unique point in space, and no two heads will see the same thing at the same point at the same time.

the problematic with perspective is that things are hard to see particularly when in plain sight.
